Trashing, Deleting and Recovering Projects
Platform Administrator are able to send Projects that are no longer needed to a Platform Trash Bin where either they will be permanently deleted after 60 days (or sooner, if desired), or can be restored.

Considerations
All data housed in a Project will be inaccessible while the Project is in the Trash Bin, and will be permanently deleted when the Project is deleted.
Platform users cannot see/use trashed project or any of its workspace tools, either via the portal, via direct link pasted into browser, or through the pilotcli
Any open workspace tool (Guacamole VM or JupyterHub) will not be accessible again after the current login session expires.
Users currently in the project will be re-directed to a 404 page.
Any favourited files, folders, or collections from a project in the Trash Bin will be removed from the Favourites list on the dashboard.
Projects in the Trash Bin will be removed from the Recently visited list on the dashboard.
Project codes cannot be used again even after a Project has been permanently deleted.
Instructions
Send a Project to Trash
Projects sent to the Trash Bin are retained for 60 days, then permanently deleted unless recovered or deleted sooner.
An email notification will be sent to all Platform Administrators and Project Administrators assigned to the Project that the Project has been sent to Trash.
An email notification will be sent to all Platform Administrators and Project Administrators assigned to the Project five days before the Project is permanently deleted.
Navigate to the Project you wish to delete.
Navigate to the Settings page.
Click Send to Trash Bin button at bottom of settings page.
A popup window prompts you to confirm the item deletion. Enter the provided code and Click Confirm.
Recover Projects from the Trash Bin
Only Project Administrators are able to view Project Trash Bin.
All Project data housed in a Project will be recovered when the Project is recovered.
An email notification will be sent to all Platform Administrators and Project Administrators assigned to the Project that the Project has been recovered from the Trash.
Click the Projects tab in the Platform Navigate Menu.
Click the Trash Bin tab above the list of projects.
Click the three horizontal dots in the Action column of the project you wish to recover.
From the drop down menu select Recover.
A popup window prompts you to confirm the item recovery. Click Confirm.
Recovered Projects can be viewed in the Platforms list of Projects.
Permanently Delete Projects in the Trash Bin
An email notification will be sent to all Platform Administrators and Project Administrators assigned to the Project that the Project has been Permanently deleted.
Click the Projects tab in the Platform Navigate Menu.
Click the Trash Bin tab above the list of projects.
Click the three horizontal dots in the Action column of the project you wish to recover.
From the drop down menu select Delete Permanently.
A popup window prompts you to confirm the item recovery. Enter the code and click Confirm.
