Workspaces for Data Releases

Analytics Workspaces are virtual environments provided to Brain-CODE users to analyze requested datasets upon approval from OBI. OBI expects all approved analyses to be completed on these Analytics Workspaces.

Brain-CODE users may remotely access these workspaces powered through the Centre for Advanced Computing (CAC) at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

 

Who requires access to a Workspace?

Workspace access is grant to those approved for data access through the Controlled Data Release Process. For these data releases, users will be provided with access to a Windows Virtual Machine with 2 cores and 4GB of RAM. Upon data request approval, the Brain-CODE team will work with you on determining the feasibility  additional computing requests when setting up the Workspace.

 

Which software packages are available for request?

Users will be provided with access to a Windows Virtual Machine with the following tools: R Studio, Python, LibreOffice. Upon data request approval, the Brain-CODE team will work with you on determining the feasibility of any additional software requests when setting up the Workspace.
