Does the Ontario Brain Institute have a Research Ethics Board?

Currently, the Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) does not have a dedicated Research Ethics Board (REB). Instead, data access requests will require that investigators making a request also submit ethics approval from a recognized institutional ethics board.

In some previous consent language, there may be mention of an OBI Research Ethics Board, as this was originally considered to facilitate data access requests on Brain-CODE.

If there are any other consent language references that require an explanation, please notify us by raising a request on the Brain-CODE Help Desk.
