In order to access a Remote Desktop workspace, you will need to connect to a virtual private network (VPN) from your computer. Once connected, you will log in to the networked computer via Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) where you will have secure access to the workspace.
Instructions
Install Client
Visit www.tunnelblick.net and select the “Downloads” tab
Choose the stable download link
Open the installation file and double click the Tunnelblick icon. Ensure you have administrator privileges to complete the installation
Once completed, a Tunnelblick icon will appear in the menu bar
Move Configuration Files and Connect
CAC provided configuration files are required to proceed. Download these zip files from your email. They will contain:
Personal Information Exchange File
KEY file
OpenVPN Config File
Drag the configuration file to the menu bar icon
Once the configuration file is installed, connect to the VPN by entering credentials provided by CAC.
You are now successfully connected to the VPN
