Deploying Superset for a Project

Apache Superset is an open-source business intelligence and data visualization tool that helps Project members derive insights into their data (for details, see https://indocpilot.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PKB214/pages/399968268/Using+Apache+Superset). This article describes the steps for Platform Administrators to deploy Jupyterhub for a Project.

Prerequisites

  • Platform Administrator Role

 Instructions

For assistance with deploying Superset, submit a support ticket to the Pilot Support team.

To check the status of Superset deployment in the Project:

  1. Launch the Project and click the Settings icon in the left menu bar, then click the Workspace tab.

  2. Check the Superset section:

    1. When Superset has not yet been deployed for the Project, the Assisted Deployment button is displayed.

    2. After Superset been deployed for the Project and the , the message “Deployed for project on {date} By: {Platform Admin’s username}.” is displayed.

  3. When Superset has been deployed for The Project, Project members who have permission to access Superset click the Superset icon in the left toolbar and launch the workspace tool.
