Two-factor authentication (sometimes referred to as two-step login) is implemented on Brain-CODE’s Seafile. Logging in to Seafile will soon require an additional step to verify your identify when accessing certain projects or personal settings.

For authentication, Seafile uses Google Authenticator. You will need to (1) download the Google Authenticator app on your phone (2) access a code through the Token Generator app, and enter the 6 digit code into Seafile within 60 seconds.

Please note, before attempting to set-up two factor authentication on Seafile, please ensure you clear your cache/cookies.

You will be prompted to scan a QR code on your smartphone using the Googl Authenticator app to begin using a token generator. Once scanned, you will enter the authentication token provided by the app.

You will be provided with a list of backup tokens. Please save these backup tokens in the event that your primary and backup phone numbers aren't available. Backup tokens can also be used for login verification.
