Understanding Project Roles

When inviting members to a Project, Project Administrators can choose one of the three default Project roles with predefined permission sets - Project Administrator, Project Collaborator, and Project Contributor - or create new roles with customized permission sets. Table 1 describes the three default Project roles and their corresponding permission levels. These permission levels can also be viewed in the Portal under Members > Roles & Permissions. The three default roles cannot be modified.

Note: If Shared Folders have been created in the Project, they can only be accessed by Project Administrators and other Project members with a custom role granting explicit access. Users with the Project Collaborator or Project Contributor roles cannot access Shared folders.
