Once you’ve built a report in REDCap, you may want to export the data into different file types.

  1. Select Data Exports, Reports, and Stats from the Applications menu on the left-hand side.

  2. To export all available data (subject to visibility permissions), click the Export Data button adjacent to All Data (1). To only export the data selected from a particular report, find the report of interest and click the Export Data button adjacent to the title (2).   3. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select your desired data output. De-identification options are also available to remove identifier fields or hash the Record IDs. Advanced formatting options are available to set the CSV delimiter character and force all numbers into a specified decimal format. Once you have selected your preferred options, click the Export Data button to begin the download.

  4. If the export is successful, a window will open with the message Data export was successful! Select the file type you prefer to begin the download.

  5. You should now have a local copy of the exported data.
